Due to our sabbatical, the Mennonite Worker will suspend all regular hospitality, meals, and worship gatherings from June 21st to October 12th.
We love guests at the Mennonite Worker. Hospitality is our central value as a community. Consider yourself invited!
Sunday evenings at 5pm , we gather together at Simone Weil House ( 2420 11th Ave S in Minneapolis). Worship begins with a time of singing, prayer, reflection, and silence. Afterwards, we continue with our Agape Feast (the early church celebrated Eucharist with an entire meal). All are welcome to worship with us.
We also host a weekly community meal at 6pm at Simone Weil House. Later, at 7:00, we host a 12 step group for those recovering from life in the Empire.
We also have open visiting hours at Simone Weil House on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15am to noon. During this time, you are free to stop in for coffee, a snack, a shower, or just to relax in our lending library. You are also welcome to come early and join us for prayer at 9am. All are welcome.
If you are in need of housing, contact us . Space is very limited, but we’ll do what we can to help.
